This privacy policy explains how I handle, protect, and use your personal data when you browse this site, interact with its content, or get in touch with me.

This website is solely operated by (me) Anas Hannoun. I really value your privacy and handle your personal data with care.
1. General Principles
This website does not use cookies, tracking scripts, analytics, or advertising networks.
I only process personal data if you actively provide it (e.g. via a contact form, guestbook, or email).
Your personal data will never be sold and is only used for the purposes described in this policy.
The one exception to the above is Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs on the contact form to keep automated submissions out. It sets no advertising or analytics cookies, but Cloudflare does receive your IP address and basic browser characteristics in order to judge whether a submission is automated.
2. The tools on this site
The tools here - the PDF editor, the image converter, the PHP serialiser - run entirely in your browser. A file you open in one of them is read, changed and written by your own device. It is never uploaded, never stored on a server, and never sent to me or to anyone else. Closing the tab is enough to remove it.
This also means I cannot recover a file for you and never see what you worked on.
3. Purposes of Data Processing
I may process your personal data for the following purposes:
a. Responding to a contact request submitted via the website.
b. Following up on inquiries about projects, collaborations, or services.
c. Managing event invitations or updates (only if you opt in).
d. Improving website operations and communication.
Your personal data are not processed for any other purposes.
4. Duration of Processing
- Personal data are retained no longer than necessary or as prescribed by law.
- If you contact me directly, your data may be stored for up to three (3) years for follow-up purposes, unless you request deletion sooner.
- If a formal collaboration, project, or contractual relationship arises, data may be retained for up to seven (7) years, in line with Dutch tax and legal obligations.
- After these periods, data will be deleted unless further retention is required by law or you provide renewed consent.
5. Sharing of Personal Data
- Your personal data are only accessible to those who need them to perform agreed work (e.g. replying to you).
- External parties may process data on my behalf (e.g. hosting providers, email routing services). Such parties are bound by agreements ensuring your data remain protected.
- Data may also be shared with accountants or legal advisors if legally required.
6. Your Rights
You have the following rights under the GDPR:
a. The right of access to your personal data.
b. The right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data.
c. The right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”), except where data must be retained by law.
d. The right to restrict processing.
e. The right to data portability.
f. The right to withdraw consent at any time.
g. The right to file a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Authority).

I may amend this privacy policy if my website operations or legal obligations change. Updates will always be published on this page.
